San Diego Events for Labor Day Weekend

August 31, 2012 – Looking for some Labor Day fun in San Diego this weekend?  Here are some events throughout San Diegocounty this weekend that are sure to do the trick. Enjoy!

The Oceanside Labor Day Pier Swim, is anannual event for locals. Jump in and get wet along with hundredsof your closest friends for the one-mile race aroundthe Oceanside pier. Tickets start at $40.

On Labor Day at the Del Mar Racetrack, dachshunds will compete for the title of fastest dog in town. Three races will take place after the main horse events.

Carlsbad and Las Americas Premium Outlets will be hosting their Labor Day Weekend Sales beginning Friday, Aug. 31 at 10a.m. through Monday, Sept. 3 at 9 p.m. Stores will offer extra discounts on topof the center’s normal savings of 25% to 65%.

Creating Escapes at Home

While traveling to a remote island to get away for peace and relaxation would be a wonderful retreat, you can easily avoid the hustle and bustle of your daily routine by creating peaceful escapes throughout your own home.
